"This was my first course, so I had few expectations.  All my expectations were exceeded.  Cirriculum and content were very in depth and I wasn't able to retain it all.  I didn't expect such a comprehensive course covering such diverse topics.  Great balance between skills practice and information/theory.  Instructors were able to cover everything we students wanted as the course was catered to our wants/needs.  The course was wisely paced to keep us up in energy and enthusiasm.  Instructor's experience and expertise were immediately apparent.  You are really good people, patient and easy to work with/learn from!"

"I found the course to be very good value.  The subjects covered were very appropriate and all very interesting and applicable.  I also enjoyed the loose structure of the course as it lent itself well to the groups interest and the local environment.  The different ecosystems visited was a great idea and especially the exploration of the island.  Both instructors where excellent and very generous with their time, able to answer any question as well as being very patient with the students.  I was also pleasently surprised with the pack load of stuff I ended up with.  Thanks again so much and you will definitely see me again."

"I have been interested in outdoor activities enough to have taken courses on the subject since 1991, ranging from a few hours on a sunny afternoon to 6 or 7 days through all types of weather.  Never have I felt that I've gotten so much out of my time and energy.  As a bonus I feel lucky to have gotten to spend some time outdoors with the person I think is the top outdoorman of contempory age - Mors Kochanski.  I only wish my time spent with Mors was longer.  In a nutshell, what Mors and Randy teach, they know."

"Very homey atmosphere!  Randy is awesome!  Mors is a God!  I would recommend this to anyone!!!  I wish it was longer!  I learned a lot.  I've spent years in the wilderness - This taught me more of what I thought I already knew and mastered.  Thank you Mors.  Thank you Randy."
Sean Morgan
"I thought the course was very good and at a campartively good price.  I realize that too intense instruction can turn people off, but I wouldn't have minded trying to cram even more in.  Anyway, I was sufficiently impressed that I will be back!"

"Had a great time, learned lots."

We had enough snow on the 2007 winter course for the students to make igloos.  They made 2 igloos and 1 very large quinzy.  They also experienced staying in them.
"Excellent balance of instruction between academics/theory and experimental education.  I was utterly amazed at how much I had learned by midweek!  Thank you Randy and Mors for your patience, attention to every course detail and incredible depth of instruction.  I had material that I got here, that will occupy me until the end of my days and I haven't even had the summer version yet!  Taking a course with Mors has been on my life list.  Excellent Course.
"Liked exposure to the different locations and felt course content very informative and useful."

"Mors' knowledge is limitless and unbelievably thorough.  I only wish we had a few more days to absorb what he had to offer.  Excellent course."
David Cronenwett
"One of the most informative and realistic classes I have taken.  Mors is an exceptional instructor and the interns were helpful.  I am looking forward to the next course."
Andrew Herrington
"A thorough curriculum leaving a student with a basic understanding of how to take care of oneself in winter conditions which can become quite severe.  Any graduate of this course will be guaranteed to be able to handle various emergency situations and more so of bush crafting, most importantly a real understanding of how to conduct oneself in northern forests so a survival situation will be unlikely because the knowledge of tools, materials and behaviour are understood to make any situation confortable."
Simon Head
"I came to this course not knowing what to expect at all and can WOW!
-Excellent instruction.
-Great People.
-Great accommodations. and I feel very privilaged to be instructed by Mors.  He is definiely a legend of his own.  Thank you for great service Randy & Lori.  I know I will be back and I sure know a lot of students that would be interested in your programming."
Zane Pillipow
"Mors Kochanski is the most knowledgeable and informative primitive/survival instructor I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.  He is the best of the best.  The knowledge and skills that I've acquired from Karamat served as an excellent balance of hands on practicality with theorical information.  I know this course will prove to be a valuable experience for future practice.  One recommendation:  I'd suggest going to Horseshoe Lake earlier in the week.  Thank you."
Tom Garbarino
